Missions Box Monday: Encourage a Soldier Recovering from Wounds

Thank you to Family Christian for providing resources for our Missions Boxes! Stay in touch with all Family Christian has to offer by visiting them: FacebookTwitterPinteresttumblr, and Instagram.

Sending encouragement to a soldier that has been wounded is another way to show the love of God with those that are hurting.

Here are some ideas, we've come up with that kids can do to love those that have been wounded...

~Make stickers for the soldiers to give to their children.

    ~Make homemade calendars.

    ~Make posters and banners.

    ~Write a card or note.

~Share a joke, a funny story, your favorite day, your favorite holiday, or a picture your child has taken of something they like.

      ~Embroider a little picture on a card.

~Make a small gift that would fit in an envelope.

      ~Crocheted or knitted lap blankets.

      ~Other gifts

Considering those that care for the wounded soldiers can be a wonderful way to encourage folks as well.

~A care package with lotions and teas

      ~Cards to lend thanks

Pictured above are gifts we get to include from Family Christian: Courage Mug, Strength for the Noble Man Calendar, ThinLine Reference Bible, Roman Road Bookmark, Someone Cares Devotional, and Someone's Holding Your Hand Devotional.
