My First Yarn Along: Crowns and Wands

My wonderful (first) cousin (once removed), Martha,
sent me a wonderful idea for crocheting...
a crown and wand.

In Waldorf style,
I got busy with my crochet hook and yarn.

I have worked on small projects before,
but this is my first yarn along!

My other projects:

crochet oversized mitten for Jan Brett's The Mitten Story
The Mitten 20th Anniversary Edition

The River Walk

So we found a river path that led to...

exploration

stairs

a bridge

looking up

helicopter  experiments

tree climbing

a creek

wondering what is just around the bend

trying to catch minnows

goose watching

a fun morning

The Tree Frog Living on our Deck

We were so excited to find
this fellow
on our deck.

We got to look up at it pretty close.

Some of us even got to hold it.
Although, one wanted to squeeze it
and one screamed when it got close.

All around,
we had a very good time
with our visitor.

It must not have been too tramatized
by the squeezing and screaming
as it returned a day later
much to our happiness.
