A Page from our Book of Centuries

We used to have a very large timeline on a wall. We would add pictures and events to it. Then I began researching the Book of Centuries and I made one for us to use. Here it is for you to print off if you'd like: Book of Centuries.

It is made of card stock with a spiral binding.

It has one page for a miniature timeline and another that is blank. Each 2 page spread represents 100 years.

We've made a place for presidents.

There is a section to write in important dates.

We draw in inventions or objects found during that time.

We've added pictures of things that were famous from that time.

Then there are pockets (business card size) that we taped in that we slide pictures of famous people that lived during that time.

It is a terrific way to find out more about the people and events of a time. To really get a feel for what it was like to live then.

What a wonderful, clever idea!

May have to do a Canadian version of this.

We use it as a whole family, so it is really quite a book now.
