Spiders and Their Webs

We just wrapped up our web study.

We found orb webs,

 spiders,

spider nests,

funnel webs,

egg sacs and mesh webs,

Oh, and more spiders!

We followed Barb's study
Fall Webs-
Cobwebs, Funnel Webs, Orb Webs, and Filmy Domes
at
the Handbook of Nature Study Blog.

We read pages 436-444 in the Handbook of Nature Study, looked at these different Types of Webs  and watched a Spider Building a Web.

Once a week we went on a web hunt. When we found one, we would observe it and any spiders that were around. We drew the webs and spiders in our nature notebooks. The Handbook of Nature Study suggests that you observe a web inside the house and we did that, too!

Wishing you homeschool blessings,
Bethany

    1. I know! Me too! If you think these are creepy, you should see the spiders that live in the garage. Yuck!
