Nature Totes

We made these nature totes
to take with us on a nature walk.

The kids loved making them and
using them.

They are pretty simple to put together:
  1. First we gathered the cardboard type egg cartons.
  2. Then I put every color paint (tempra) that we wanted directly into the individual cups. Be careful filling them. You don't want to use too much paint as it will crack.
  3. Ceesa and Jo-Jo got started painting in their cartons.
  4. Then we let them dry. We painted them one day, let them dry over night, and used them the next. You probably wouldn't have to wait overnight, but a rainstorm came in before we could use them.
  5. Then we looked around trying to find something to fill the cups. Blue was really hard. It turns out, I don't have many blue flowers and there aren't many growing wild around our house.
  6. Then we brought them in and told Poppa about what we found.
Wishing you homeschool blessings,
Bethany
