Valentine's Family Fun Night Basket {A Sponsored Post}

Thank you Family Christian for sponsoring our Valentine's Family Fun Night Basket. Stay in touch with all they have to offer by visitingFacebookTwitterPinteresttumblr, and Instagram

This year for Valentine's Day we decided to surprise the kids with something a bit different. Every year I make a homemade Valentine for the kids from Poppa and I. We get them a stuffed animal and some chocolates.

For an extra fun surprise this year, we decided to make a Valentine's Family Fun Night Basket. In addition to their usual surprises, we'll spend the evening together having fun.

The first thing I decided to tuck in was a movie. All of the kids love Veggie Tales (even Ceesa, who enjoys watching all the new ones we can find). So I decided on Veggie Tales The Penniless Princess. We haven't seen it yet and the girls were in The Little Princess Play last year. But I also discovered Lettuce Love One Another and Silly Little Thing Called Love, both Valentine's themed.

If there is one thing my kiddos love it is games! Cranium Bible Edition is designed for teens and adults. Since it is one that is played in teams, we can easily adapt when it gets too tough. This will certainly bring lots of giggles. Especially drawing with our eyes closed, acting things out, and making sculptures! I picked it from over 80 games!

We do lots of science projects as a family, so I thought it would be fun to add a science kit. We've never tried to lift fingerprints before, so I picked this Fingerprint Science kit. It comes with dusting powder, a brush, directions, sticky tabs, a magnifying glass, and classification cards.

Clay Creatures was a last minute pick. I wanted something that they could do that was creative and fun. The Clay Creatures kit comes with 12 colors of clay and an assortment of facial and body features. Since the clay doesn't dry out, they can create things over and over.

Since we wanted to be sure to add all of the things we traditionally do, I went searching and found some other things we could add to the basket Plush PuppiesValentine Heart Tin and Chocolates, and My Little Valentine: Coupons from Cupid for Good Boys and Girls. Poppa picked up our stuffed puppies and chocolates locally and I made the Valentines!

Thanks Family Christian for making our Valentine's Day extra special!
