Here's a post I put up a little while back with some information and resources linked. ~ I need to update it because I've learned so much more. I've pinned lots of great samples to my pinterest account that has helped. There are 5 boards there now on form art...{http://www.pinterest.com/lithsblessings/}. And I purchased one book so far, but I'm planning on a few others when I can get them. I have Form Drawing for Beginners written and illustrated by Donna Simmons. It is a great introduction on how to get started, rules for drawing, and samples.
