Jars of Sand

These jars of sand were simple
and are a nice touch of summer.

Take old, clean jars (ours are from salsa).

Fill half way with sand
(we used sand from our sandbox).

Add shells.
(We got ours when we went to
Cape May, New Jersey several years ago.)

Then each girlie picked a favorite summer
word, wrote it out, and glued it to the side
(We used watered down white glue,
and painted it on with a paint brush).

Wishing you homeschool blessings,

Now this is brilliant! I swear woman, you make me feel dumb!! This is so simple! I wanted to do something like this for the children, but I was thinking much larger and I rejected it because I couldn't make it work in my head! This is sweet, Thanks!!
