Kick it Through the Wicket

Kick it Through the Wicket,

Yes. (I can almost hear you asking.)

It is a real game.

All you need are hangers,

needlenose pliers,

and

balls.

Just bend those hangers into a wicket shape.

(Think crochet.)

Drive them into the ground and let

the games begin.

Pond Study

We found, quite by surprise,

that we had a free afternoon.

So we headed to the local environmental center

and went looking in the pond.

We found some very large pollywogs.

Oh and did I mention the muck?

There was a lot!

Another VBS Over for the Year

This week we've found joy here...

The kids just love Vacation Bible School.

This year it was learning the many names of God

through experiments.

Poppa taught all of the classes.

Ceesa and Jo-Jo did experiments, made crafts, and played games.

Little Man ate and kept one teen especially busy.

I cooked for 40 with one of my bestest friends.

It was terrific.

I have to admit, I love VBS, too.

The Idea Line

So I had this folder,

okay these folders,

of great ideas.

Ideas I really wanted to try.

I found them in magazines

mostly.

And do you know what they did?

You guessed it...

they sat in the folders.

But now I have come up with a solution...

The Idea Line

(Yes the tent is still up. :)

And so,

instead of forgotten ideas,

we have a solution.

It was definitely a unique fashion show.

The outfits were delicate and creative.

The models were the most handsome I have ever seen.

And well...

It was a newspaper fashion show

with our blessings as the models.

Then the real fashion design began...
