Butterflies at the Windows

I love natural light,
so I don't have curtains in many of my rooms.

I am always on the lookout for ways
to decorate the windows and still let the light in.
These butterflies are perfect.

To make them, I cut out a template
from card stock of an oval shape.

We chose different colors tissue paper
and cut 2 ovals out for each butterfly.

Then we cut a yellow pipe cleaner in half
and folded it in half. Next, we pushed in a tissue paper oval
and gave the pipe cleaner a twist. Then we repeated with the
second oval and bent the ends so that we could make antennae.

To hang them, we took about 16 inches of
fishing line and tied around the antennae and tied them to dowel rods at the window.

Wishing you homeschool blessings,
Bethany

Very cute! It has been so dark and dreary here, the sun and the color are so appealing.
