Summer 2011: Bucket List

 
Wow! What a fun idea.
Creating a summer bucket list.
Now, I really can't wait for summer to start.
 
Here's mine...
 
 

Everyday
Garden
Math story problems
Handicrafts
Take time to smell flowers
Stop to watch every sunset
Read outside
Giggle
Work on a volunteering Project
Learn the hymn “You are Everything”
Spend evenings on the deck
Scheduled Events
VBS
Church camp
Scavenger hunt
Camp out in play house

Day Trip or Out and About Stops
Hike
Children’s garden
Zoo
Go to science center
Summer concert
Park: Explore a creek or stream and climb…rocks, trees, hills
Lake Park and feed the ducks
Go Spelunking
Play putt-putt
Go out for ice cream cones
Visit the observatory
Pick blueberries, strawberries, and apples
Go to an outdoor concert
Go to Arboretum
Go to the walking/biking trail

Rainy Day
Play in the rain
Make a volcano
Play a board game
Make mud pies
Make Popsicles
Craft day
Learn new jokes
Make homemade play dough
Make funnel cakes
Root beer floats
Make ice cream sundaes
Paint or tie dye t-shirts
Make sidewalk paint or this one
Make a bird house
Work on a big puzzle
Make a beach garden with sand, sea shells, and sea glass in a small terra cotta dish
Make walnut boats or bark boats to sail in water table or puddles
Have a WII fit fun night
Make donuts
  
Night Time Fun
Catch fireflies
Star gaze
Make an entire meal on the grill
AND make an entire meal over the fire
Spend some time sitting around a camp fire

What-to-do Jar
Gather wildflowers and leaves
Find a new tree to study
Fly a kite
Paint with water
Watch the clouds
Ride bikes
Roll down a hill
Blow dandelions
Picnic
Play ball
Play Frisbee
Jump rope
Hula hoop
Horseshoes
Play hillbilly golf
Play corn hole
Swing
Do a nature journal page
Wash the car together
Have a silly dance contest
Blow bubbles
Wear a bathing suit all day
Play in sprinkler
Play with sidewalk chalk
Use our sidewalk paint to paint with our feet
Play with sparklers and pops (not only on the fourth)
Play in the sunflower/morning glory house
Make a cloth tent on the deck hang with clothes pins and line
Work on a stick tepee
Play in sunflower and morning glory house
Collect rocks
Decorate the play house with shells, wildflowers, rocks

Are there enough days in the summer for all of this? I'm not sure, but a few may need to go on my 2012 list.
